Terminator GoF: Crash & Storm VFX
A couple more FX bits that I got to work on at Strange Reptile for the D&B Terminator VR ride.
These are shot from above and at a distance for show, but the real ride is all in that topless truck. Really fun experience with the Terminator right in your face for most of it. Go check it out!
I setup most of the VFX, smashed door animation and a few smaller parts of this section.
The swat trucks vert damage got over-amped in this quick demo sequence version.
A little UV warping and some random flickering can turn 2D clouds into some ominous monsters
I used the base 2D clouds and cranked up their contrast to mask out the areas I wanted to flicker.
